This was a lesson I used with top set year 9 students in their GCSE preparation unit. It goes through simplified ALevel content on where does our sense of right and wrong come from. All resources you need are included including a self assessment tracker. We had been doing some work on the death penalty so the final tasks are to do with this but can easil be adapted.

Introduction to the early Christian Church: You will learn about what was expected from Jesus as the Messiah, the birth of the Church at Pentecost and the spread of the early Christians and the problems they met. This will include the death of St. Stephen and the conversion of St, Paul. This took me 2 one hour lessons so will be best edited or used as part of a unit. Christian Mission and the Letters of Saint Paul: You will learn about St. Paul’s role in the creation of the Bible and focus on his writings about love (Corinthians 1:13) and Forgiveness (letter to Philemon).
